what is Sage + Cedar?

Sage+Cedar is a culmination of ten years of professional and personal experience. From writing a thesis about LGBTQ+ loss during the AIDS crisis, to serving as the California coordinator for Compassion & Choices, to bereavement volunteership. From working in a hospice to learning how to integrate loss from multiple family suicides, to grappling with grief and family estrangement.

With a deep passion for providing people with evidence-based grief support— Sage uses research to help businesses support grieving employees and connect people to tailored resources and services.

Sage is especially interested in working with people from historically marginalized groups as well as people who are experiencing types of grief that do not get social uptake, such as suicide loss, death of a friend, animal companion death, and others.
